A complex scheme incorporating new leisure centre and residential properties.
The project involves the demolition of the existing Gurnell Leisure Centre to be replaced by the construction of a new leisure centre including a 50m swimming pool, fun pool, gym, exercise studios, café and children’s play area. Two new residential buildings will form part of the leisure centre building.
As Principal Designer we guided the team though the requirements of the CDM Regulations paying particular attention to plant replacement and maintenance (owing to the extensive plant required for the swimming pools) and façade maintenance given the heights of the buildings.
