CDM Client Advisor / Assurance
Clients must make suitable arrangements for managing their construction projects. This includes ensuring that the CDM Duty holders are appointed and that sufficient time and resources including welfare are allocated to the project. Clients must also ensure that all the relevant information is provided to the Duty holders at the right time and the Duty holders carry out their duties.
For most Clients this can be quite complex and daunting. We can provide a bespoke service which is aligned with your project brief and vision ensuring legal compliance, corporate governance, risk management and best practice to minimise you corporate risk.
Our services are designed to support the Client and Principal Designer in fulfilling their legal duties under the Regulations. They include assistance with preparing the project brief, reviewing project documentation, assessing programme and team capabilities, managing health and safety throughout the project and ensuring effective coordination among the design and construction teams. The services also covers support in the provision of pre-construction information, evaluation of contractor competence, submission of the F10 notification and review of construction phase plans. Additionally, assistance is provided with the project handover arrangements and compilation of the Health and Safety File upon project completion. Site Safety Audits and monitoring can also be scheduled to be performed in accordance with the construction programme and costs budget.
CDM Principal Designer
Where there is more than one Contractor working on the project the Client must appoint in writing a Designer with control over the pre-construction phase as Principal Designer. In the event the Client fails to appoint a Principal Designer they must carry out their duties.
As an established organisation we have the technical knowledge and the relevant skills, knowledge, experience, behaviours and organisational capacity to act as Principal Designer. We can proactively plan, manage and monitor the pre-construction phase and coordinate health and safety to eliminate or where not possible minimise health and safety risks posed.
CDM Principal Designer Advisor
We can assist individuals or organisations acting as Principal Designer under the Regulations.
We can provide support and guidance in planning, managing, and monitoring the pre-construction phase, and coordinating health and safety matters. In addition, we can advise on the Principles of Prevention during the design process and assist in identifying, eliminating, and controlling risks.
As Principal Designer Advisor we can undertake compliance checks on Designers and assist with collating pre construction information and preparing the pre construction information pack. During the construction phase we will liaise with the Principal Contractor concerning planning, management and monitoring and assist in the production or review of the Health and Safety File.
