Renaissance and Baroque Court, Hounslow

Cladding remediation of two large residential blocks.

The site comprises two large residential blocks set over nine storeys (24m high) with existing render over polystyrene insulation cladding. The tenure of blocks are a mix of leaseholder, shared ownership and key worker accommodation.

We worked collaboratively with the client, fire engineers, designer, Approved Inspector, contractor and structural engineers to replace the cladding system in its entirety with an A2-rated system.

As part of our scope, we have undertaken desktop, visual and intrusive external wall surveys (EWS).

Following completion of the EWS surveys, we assisted the client with their application to the Building Safety Fund. We produced the tender documentation, tendered the works, negotiated the contract, assisted the client with the serving of Section 20 notices to the leaseholders and administered the remedial works on site on behalf of our client.

Silver was appointed for both Building Surveying and Contract Administration services. This appointment followed the release of the Building Safety Advice from the Ministry of Housing and Local Government, which was produced as part of the Grenfell Inquiry.
