Silver is proud of the women in our business. We continue to support and encourage changing the face of our sector through normalising women in construction.
Today’s event at Maitland Park Estate has begun the journey for these women to go onto build careers in our industry and we are honoured to be a part of it. Sarah Odell (Managing Director), Tracey Holland (Business Development Director) and Martin Ward (Director Clerk of Works) were delighted to host this event as part of our social value commitment to our client, @camdencouncil, who joined the event. Camden’s employment partner, Kings Cross Construction Skills Hub did a great job of arranging the group of women who attended the tour.
Sarah discussed her long and successful career, beginning as a carpenter and progressing to Managing Director of Silver today. Her talk highlighted the array of opportunities and career paths in our exciting industry. Tracey shared insights into the importance of the site inspector and how this is paramount in delivering projects where quality and safety has never been higher on the agenda.
As the appointed Clerk of Works at Maitland Park Estate, Martin Ward conducted an interactive tour with the group of women who each have an interest in a range of careers including carpentry, project management, quantity surveying and interior design. A big thank you to Bouygues Site Manager for your support on site today.
