FC Comets U-18s were the worthy Herts County Cup champions on Sunday after a gripping 2–1 final win over Chorley Wood.
This victory is not only a proud moment for the team — it also marks the end of an era for both the players and our colleague Steve Waite, who has coached FC Comets since the boys were just 7 years old. A decade on, they come to the end of their youth football journey and finished on a high as they lift the cup in their final under-18 season before heading off into the next chapter of their lives (hopefully still with a football at their feet!).
