Silver received a warm welcome from quite a crowd of L&Q project managers who attended a short training CPD session delivered by Dominic Jankowski on the subject of Programming and Progress.
Dom has held a 25+ year career in a Directorial role, responsible for the delivery of contractor and developer projects. His background lies predominately in the delivery of many social housing schemes. Drawing on his experience, Dom provided some key insights on what can cause project/programme delays, the warning signs to look out for and the type of questions to ask that avoids unforeseen delay issues, and importantly ensures cooperation with the contractor and sub-contractors, and in his words ‘a happy site’.
The many questions and points raised by the L&Q Team created lively and interesting interaction throughout the session. From our side, we were able to highlight the capability of our Quality Management and Site Inspection Team, particularly around validating the progress of works on site.
